Monstroidium

Monstroidium is a type of metal unique to Dimentiara. Monstroidium ore is found deep underground and derived from the coprolites of high ranking subterranean Kreatures. Once processed, Monstroidium alloy has enormous tensile strength, even surpassing Miraculite. However, Monstroidium is heavier, less versatile, and much more expensive to manufacture, so its usage is less widespread. It's used as a building material for premium Habitat pods, and can be mixed with organic polymers to create high grade biometallic plating. Once a forcefield is run through it, even Kreatures can have a hard time breaking through Monstroidium (though they're certainly capable of doing so if they're sufficiently determined.)

Monstroidium alloys come in various colours:

• Grey Monstroidium is the most common form of Monstroidium. Its purity is low and composed primarily of Miraculite. For this reason it's also known as "Premium Miraculite". This makes it the cheapest and least durable type of Monstroidium, though its strength still far surpasses Deluxe Miraculite.
• Silver Monstroidium: Much tougher and purer than the grey stuff, surpassing its tensile strength a hundredfold. However, it is conversely heavier, costlier and more difficult to work with.
• Black Monstroidium: The strongest, purest, most expensive form of Monstroidium alloy. Depending on the quality of the original ore it can be over a thousand times stronger than Grey Monstroidium. Only high ranking Kreatures can bear the strain of wearing armour built with Black Monstroidium.

Tamers are advised to be very careful when working with Monstroidium; it contains toxic compounds that can cause necrosis if you're cut by it, a condition known as "Monstroidium Rot." The purer the alloy, the faster the rot sets in. A human cut by Black Monstroidium can die in just a few hours if the afflicted area isn't disinfected or amputated in time.
