Huge schools of these large, succulent fish migrate from the ocean and swim upriver to spawn in Vara Lake, Glimmer Lake and various freshwater pools in the Sawtooth Mountains. Carrying rich ocean nutrients in their flesh, predators such as birds carry these fish into the forests, where the decaying remains nourish the soil. They're also economically important to the nation of Zaitopia, as they're a delicacy in Zaitopian cuisine and fished by the thousands of tons every year.
