Native to western Badonlas, this hefty monitor lizard is Dimentiara's largest non-Kreature terrestrial predator. When they're young they feed primarily on eggs, including those laid by Wild Kreatures; a food source they're uniquely suited among animals to exploit thanks to their ability to swallow them whole. As they grow, the trace amounts of aura they absorb from this food source bioaccumulates in their teeth and scales, giving them the weaponry and armour to compete with large mammalian predators like big cats and canids in disputes over carcasses. For this reason, giant lizards are a core part of the apex animal predator guilds in the tropical regions of Dimentiara - a dynamic that is reflected with the King Tegu in Dimentiara's eastern hemisphere.
