In the aftermath of the Dimentiara Exodus, humans were an endangered species. The human refugees were taken in by the Kiisaktos Empire but were used as convenient scapegoats to distract from incompetent leadership. Early human-led uprisings were immediately squashed by the Empire. Among the human refugees there was a burning desire for freedom; and revenge.

Around the same time the Kragok Defiance (an anti-imperial faction of Silarc subversives) were quietly plotting an uprising of their own. They'd created amulets for mindlinking and had the capability to manufacture weapons, armour and Battle Kreatures. All they needed were allies, which they found in the Human Freedom Rebellion, the largest surviving rebel faction among the human refugees at the time. The Defiance offered the HFR sanctuary in exchange for human genetic material, which they promised to use to rebuild the human population.

To the Kragok high council, humans were ideal candidates for mass production. Growing Silarc soldiers in addition to Battle Kreatures would be too resource-intensive. Since humans lacked aura and didn't need it in their diets, this made them cheap to grow and to feed, so the Defiance could prioritize using their aura supplies to mass produce Battle Kreatures. Humans also have better depth perception and colour vision than Silarcs, which made them good at spotting enemies, piloting aircraft and driving vehicles. Mass-Produced Humans became the main infantry in the combined Kragok/HSR forces, which was renamed the Zartex Coalition. They were so successful in battle that the Kiisaktos Empire would eventually start growing their own Mass-Produced Humans.

Descendants of Mass-Produced Humans would come to be known as Offshoots, who now compose the majority of the human population in Dimentiara.
