Wyldcard Team
The Wyldcard team is a professional Kreature Combat team based in Zaitopia. Its base of operations is the Wyldcard Compound.
Overview
Founded in DAC5210 by Wade Romano, the Wyldcard team enjoyed modest success in its early years, climbing its way up to the middle-tier, purchasing a compound and building up a roster of over 30 Kreatures. However, the team hit a rough patch early in the year of DAC5215. An unfortunate losing streak led to flagging ticket sales and a few of their former teammates leaving for greener pastures. As a result, the team was forced to lay off most of their support staff. The Wyldcard team’s standing sank like a stone all the way to the bottom-tier and there's an impression among the Kreature Combat community that they're all washed up. However, with the acquisition of some new Tamers via their apprenticeship program, the Wyldcard team may be back on the upswing.
While many Kreature Combat teams, such as the Paolino Team, are corporate owned, others are co-ops that are run democratically. The Wyldcard team is such a team, and holds votes every year to decide who should lead it. Wade's been the leader since its inception, mostly because Dennis and Kristy have never bothered to run against him. (Wally runs against him every year but nobody votes for him.)
