Kate Touma
With Kate I decided to try something different from a character design standpoint. Because Kristy has a tall and voluptuous build, I wanted to create a female character with a short, stocky, more average build but still have her be pretty.

Kate Touma (née Morgan) is a former public school teacher who decided to become a Kreature Tamer. She is sweet, sentimental, nurturing and dotes on both her son and her Kreatures. Despite her position of authority as both a mother and co-manager of the Crimson Lightning team, she doesn’t really feel like a leader. She’s self conscious and much more of a worry-wart than she lets on. Fortunately, she’s more beloved and respected than she thinks she is and thus rarely needs to pull rank. Underneath it all, Kate has a quirky sense of humour and a bit of a mischievous side.

Kreatures

Kate may be a cute nerdy soccer mom but she’s a skilled Kreature Tamer who is not to be underestimated. Mindlinking makes her feel powerful and she enjoys the rush of combat.
