Utility Kreatures are a sub-type of bioengineered Kreatures that have been designed for purposes other than battle. They may have been created to be food for people or for other Kreatures, to be mounts for riding, as beasts of burden for drafting or packing, for construction, to clean the environment, and virtually any other purpose aside from combat. The powers possessed by some Utility Kreatures may also be secondarily useful for fighting, so a few of them, such as Jagaldie, have been repurposed and modified as Battle Kreatures, making them Multipurpose Kreatures.
