Rank

All Kreatures are sorted according to their Rank.

In the interests of safety and fairness of competition, the Kreature Combat Federation classifies Battle Kreatures according to the maximum level of power each species can output, with Rank D- being the lowest and Rank A+ being the highest. Therefore, Rank could be seen as analogous to weight classes in other combat sports such as Boxing or MMA. However, raw power isn't everything and even a low-ranking Kreature can have useful abilities in the greater context of a team battle, or defeat a higher-ranking Kreature if its Tamer utilizes good strategy and teamwork.

Rank is immutable and does not change no matter how much a Kreature trains. While individual Kreatures of the same species can vary in strength, and training can increase said strength, the margin of difference is not wide enough to place them in different ranks.
