Vara City
Vara City is a city located in the Zaitopian province of East Zaitopia, built along the shores of Lake Vara, the largest lake in the area. It is part of the Zaito-Vara Metroplex along with Zaito City, anchoring the Vara Region. It was once the capital of the Vara Sovereignty: a nation-state belonging to a faction within the Zartex Coalition, which was annexed and absorbed into Zaitopia during the unification era. The lake used to be pristine and beautiful, but pollution from war and development have done a number on it over the years. Efforts to rehabilitate it are ongoing.
Vara City is approximately 30km south of Zaito City. Kristy Winters grew up in the Vara Region and most of her family still lives there. Spaz' brother also lives there, and she eventually moves in with him.
