Sea of Fire

The Sea of Fire is one of the Seven Seas of Dimentiara. It cuts through the border of Zaitopia and Akatoria, bisecting the two continents. It's named thusly because it's a warm, shallow inland sea which lies right on top of the equator. Its average depth is only around 40-80 meters. Rich with nutrients washed in from the nearby Sauna Rainforest Volcanoes, the Sea of Fire is carpeted with seagrass and other aquatic plants, which form the basis of a productive food web. As a result it's a verdant underwater ecosystem teeming with marine life. However, its bounty can be a dangerous temptation to those who might dare trawl its waters - even moreso than most of Dimentiara's oceans, the Sea of Fire is infested with sea monsters.
