[[Image:{{{ImageName}}}|300px|I created Foddox to fill the role of a basic, generic "cannon fodder" Kreature. To this end, its design is a composite of a goblin and a lizard man - two of the fantasy genre's tried and true generic enemy types. Since then, Foddox has prettymuch become the quintessential Kreature in my mind. Average in every way, the standard against which all other Kreatures are measured.]] | |

The basic Foddox is quite possibly the quintessential Battle Kreature. They're popular with Tamers who are just starting out because they're an inexpensive Rank C Kreature that tames down easy like a Rank D, with balanced stats and simple husbandry. The only downside they have is their short lifespans. Foddoxes reach sexual maturity at just six months and live for only two or three years. They are sexually dimorphic: males have three tail blades, females have only two. Foddoxes are designed to be hardy, adaptable and can thrive in most biomes. As a result, they easily turn feral and can be found in abundance everywhere in Dimentiara except for at the poles and a few extremely isolated islands. Feral Foddoxes are dangerous pests that live and hunt in packs of up to 50 members that consist of a breeding pair and their many offspring, who raid crops and attack unwary travelers.
