Vara City is a city located in the Zaitopian province of East Zaitopia, built along the shores of Lake Vara, Zaitopia’s biggest lake. It was once the capital of the Vara Region: a nation-state belonging to a faction within the Zartex Coalition, which was conquered by and absorbed into Zaitopia during the unification era. The lake used to be pristine and beautiful, but development and pollution have done a number on it over the years. Efforts to rehabilitate it are ongoing.
Vara City is a short distance south of Zaito City. Kristy Winters grew up in the Vara Region and most of her family still lives there. Spaz' brother also lives there, and she eventually moves in with him.
