A gigantic black and red dragonfly with a wingspan the size of a grown man's hand. Insects this large have not been seen in Dimentiara since prehistoric times. This insect is very rare and sensitive to environmental conditions, so whenever they are found in abundance, their presence is a bioindicator of exceptional water quality. They're primarily found in the Sauna Rainforest but they are migratory and can sometimes be found in the southernmost part of Eastern Zaitopia in the Keemok Swamplands. Smaller specimens feed primarily on mosquitos, but adult males will attack damselfies, katydids, hornets, and even hummingbirds. The nymph stage is an even more ferocious predator that will devour tadpoles and small fish. | |||
