Vetterberries are small edible fruits native to Tremek Major.
Overview
Vetterberries are named after Vetter City, which has a lucrative industry based around their cultivation. They have a flavour that's sweet and sharp, similar to blackberry but with a mild citrus-like twist. Vetterberries can be eaten raw, or mashed up and made into juice, jam, soft drinks, syrups or confectionery treats. In the wild they are eaten by various foraging animals and kreatures, which spread about their seeds in their droppings. Vetterberry plants grow faster and produce larger fruits when they're fertilized with aura rich Kreature manure.
Vetterberry cupcakes are one of the signature products of Bailey's Cafe and Bakery, which are prepared with little candy Kreature ears on them. Carol Weiss is an expert at baking Vetterberry cupcakes, and Ben enjoys them as his go-to comfort food.
