Also known as the “Gracile Marsh Wolf”, this canid is a sister species to the Night Coyote, though they are much rarer. They live near shallow water and hunt fish, ducks, frogs, crayfish and other small freshwater animals. They have long legs, slender muzzles, keen vision and small but sharp teeth as adaptations for their specialized lifestyle.
